Over 650 people have seen an Amman walk-in Centre in the previous 6 months and been seen by a mental health practitioner who speaks a array of languages.

They supply NHS talking treatments by professionals in the Trust’s Birmingham Healthy Minds agency who can encourage people in Punjabi, Mirpuri, Urdu and Bengali, along with English.

Joanne Gill, consultant clinical guide, Birmingham Healthy Insights, stated: “The feeling of being unable to cope, for any reason, is always tricky to talk about and we plan to create access to our emotional therapy services as simple as possible by breaking down any known barriers that individuals might have, such as language problems.
